Understanding our structure, mission, and 501(c)(4) status
Party Orange exists to actualize the voice of the American people.
We, the people, want our own voice in America. Party Orange embraces the original premises of America: that our unalienable rights precede any government's authority, that just powers are derived from the consent of the governed, and that government should protect our safety and happiness.
George Washington warned us about the 'spirit of party' tearing us apart—we will not stand by while any prevailing faction, or the next one, undermines the core of public liberty. When we seek redress of grievances, we require accessible ways to petition those who hold power.
We build Party Orange so we can peaceably assemble, speak our civic will, and welcome every American who chooses to join in manifesting our collective voice—a living record of where We the People truly stand, free from corporate influence or billionaire pressure. In this digital age, we reclaim the founding vision of a government answerable to its citizens, not to money or entrenched powers.
Red vs. Blue will not save us.
We need a new venue for the will of We, the people.
Party Orange keeps a durable, secure record owned directly by the people, of their civic will and values, building a platform that will stand as a voice to ensure our politicians and institutions can't ignore us.
America is missing a way for We, the people, to express our will without it coming out the meatgrinder of the political class.
We throw this party to be an uncorruptable venue where individual voices coalesce into coalitions.
If we don't have our own way to express the will of the people without it coming out the meatgrinder of the political class we will get further and further off course as a country.
We are organized as a 501(c)(4) social welfare organization under the Internal Revenue Code. This designation allows us to engage in activities that 501(c)(3) charitable organizations cannot, making our advocacy work more effective and direct.
Note: Our 501(c)(4) status means we're nonpartisan but not politically neutral. We advocate for policies based on our values and mission, not party affiliation.
Our organization is governed by a Board of Directors elected by our membership. The Board provides strategic direction and oversight, while day-to-day operations are managed by our Executive Director and staff team.
We are a member-driven organization. Our members vote on organizational priorities, elect leadership, and actively participate in our campaigns and initiatives. This democratic structure ensures we remain accountable to the communities we serve.
Our work is organized through issue-specific working groups and local chapters across the country. This structure allows us to address national policy issues while remaining responsive to local needs and opportunities.
We're committed to financial transparency and responsible stewardship of our resources. Our annual reports, including detailed financial information, are available to the public on our website.
As a 501(c)(4) organization, we file Form 990s with the IRS, which are available through public databases. We also voluntarily disclose major funding sources and maintain clear policies to prevent conflicts of interest.
Join our community of members working together for positive change.
